Production Resources

More than a script.
A collection of optional resources
designed to help bring the world of Probationary Angel to the stage.

Probationary Angel was developed through an actual community theatre production.

Along the way, music, projections, marketing materials, production guidance,

and other resources were created to support the original staging.

These materials are available to help future productions build their own version of the world—

not to dictate how the play must be produced.

Original Music & Audio

A complete collection of original pre-recorded music
and audio resources created for the world of Probationary Angel.

Music was used throughout the original production to support scene changes, maintain the theatrical experience during resets, and expand the world of the play beyond the action onstage.

Every song, instrumental cue, sound effect, and Department announcement in this collection was created specifically for the world of Probationary Angel. These are the original studio recordings developed for the production—not stock music or commercially released songs.

The available music is designed to give productions flexibility. Songs can support transitions and atmosphere while allowing each theatre to determine how extensively the music is incorporated into its own production.

🎵 ORIGINAL SONGS

Pre-recorded original music created specifically for Probationary Angel, including songs used during transitions and throughout the original production.

🎙️ VOICE & AUDIO ELEMENTS

Pre-recorded announcements and other optional audio elements that help extend the world of the Department of Human Relations.

🎭 PRODUCTION FLEXIBILITY

Music and audio resources are designed to support the production—not restrict it—allowing theatres to use the available materials in ways that suit their staging.

Projection & Visual Resources

Optional visual resources designed to expand the world
of the play without requiring elaborate physical scenery.

The original production used projected imagery and video to help establish locations, support transitions, and create moments that would be difficult to achieve with traditional scenery alone.

These resources are entirely optional. Productions may use the available projection package, create their own visual interpretation, or stage the play without projections.

☁️ SCENE ENVIRONMENTS

Visual backgrounds and atmospheric imagery designed to help establish locations and extend the world beyond the physical stage.

🪽 OPTIONAL BY DESIGN

The projection resources are enhancements—

not requirements. Each production remains free to determine how simply or extensively the visual world is presented.

🎬 VIDEO &
TRANSITION ELEMENTS

Pre-created visual sequences that can support selected moments, transitions, and the celestial world of the play.

Marketing & Promotional Resources.

A coordinated collection of editable materials designed to help productions promote the play without starting from scratch.

A full marketing campaign was developed alongside the original production of Probationary Angel.

The available resources provide theatres with a visual starting point while

allowing essential production information to be customized for their own performances.

These materials are designed to make promotion easier while still giving each theatre room to make the campaign its own.

🎨 EDITABLE        TEMPLATES

Customizable promotional materials with editable fields for production dates, venue information, ticket details, and other local information.

📣 CAMPAIGN MATERIALS

Coordinated graphics for announcements, character introductions, countdowns, opening night, final performances, and other moments throughout a production campaign.

Materials designed around the established visual identity of Probationary Angel, helping productions create a polished and recognizable campaign across multiple platforms.

 Production Guidance & Practical Resources.

Practical information developed through the experience of
bringingProbationary Angel from the page to the stage.

The original production provided an opportunity to discover what worked in rehearsal, how transitions could be managed, and how the play’s multiple locations could be created within the realities of a community theatre.

These resources are offered as a helpful starting point—not a required blueprint. Every theatre has different spaces, people, budgets, and creative strengths.

🎭 STAGING &
SET GUIDANCE

Ideas from the original production for creating the celestial and earthly settings through practical, flexible staging.

📋 REHEARSAL &
CUE RESOURCES

Supporting materials designed to help organize the production process, including guidance for coordinating music, audio, transitions, and other technical elements.

🛠️ ORIGINAL PRODUCTION INSIGHT

Practical notes based on what was learned during the premiere production —including solutions that may help future companies develop an approach that works for their own space.

The Original Production

Where Probationary Angel first earned its wings.

Probationary Angel premiered in June 2026 at the Red Barn Playhouse in Malone, New York, presented by the North Franklin Theatre Group.

Created with a volunteer community theatre cast and crew, the original production brought the celestial world, earthly assignments, original music, projections, and practical staging together before a live audience for the first time.

Across six performances, the production became more than the premiere of a new play. It became the real-world foundation for the resources available to future theatres—shaped through rehearsals, technical challenges, scene changes, audience response, and the experience of taking the story from page to stage.
